RAW Processing in Photoshop

At some point every photographer realises that to go the next level, they need to start shooting RAW. That also means learning to process your RAW files with some kind of editing software, and the most popular software is Adobe Photoshop.
Despite what many people think, processing a RAW file is not about 'faking' an image. To Andrew it is simply about taking a well-shot image and making it match what you saw when you pressed the button.
If you live on the Sunshine Coast, Andrew will come to you and teach you the Photoshop essentials, in your own home on your own computer, using your own photos.

#Your Teacher - Andrew Goodall

Natures Image Photography

Andrew Goodall

Andrew has been a professional nature photographer for almost 30 years. His gallery, Nature's Image Photography, operated from 1993 to 2017, making it one of the longest-running photo galleries in Australia.
Many years ago Andrew began writing e-books on camera technique and the skills of nature photography. There was so much interest in the e-books, he began teaching workshops in 2008.
Andrew's plain-English style of teaching and natural sense of humour make the workshops entertaining and easy to understand. Well over 1500 people have now benefited from his teaching.
As a free bonus for the students, Andrew has also set up an online forum on Flickr (invitation only) where people share and critique their work, and organise numerous outings to practice in a social setting. Hundreds of friendships have been formed in this forum.
After establishing himself as a teacher, the next step was to launch into touring. Working with professional tour operators, Andrew has hosted tours to locations within Australia (Top End, Kimberley, Red Centre) and beyond (Norfolk Island, New Zealand, Vanuatu).
Most of the people who join him on tour are past students of the workshops, who appreciate Andrew's natural willingness to share his knowledge - both in the classroom and out in the field.

" I could not have taken this shot if I hadn't done your course. You taught me how the soft light of dawn or the golden light of late afternoon can add a touch of magic to an image. You taught me the importance of taking control of what my camera is doing. You brought my fuzzy ideas about composition into clear focus. And you inspired me to take up my camera and shoot, to get up and have a go.
Thanks and regards,
Paul Balfe"
