The Glasshouse Mountains, just north of Brisbane in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, is one of the true natural icons of Australia. An ancient volcanic formation rising out of the plains, they can be seen from many miles in every direction. One of the best views is only a short drive from our gallery, Nature's Image Photography, and consequently we have a collection of Glasshouse Mountains photos that is second to none.
This photo was taken from Maleny, with a spectacular winter sky and the lush green of the foreground showing the local landscape at its colourful best. As the region grows, it is hoped that some of this rural character can be maintained.
