The Glasshouse Mountains, just north of Brisbane in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, is one of the true natural icons of Australia. An ancient volcanic formation rising out of the plains, they can be seen from many miles in every direction. One of the best views is only a short drive from our gallery, Nature's Image Photography, and consequently we have a collection of Glasshouse Mountains photos that is second to none.
This photo was taken at Sunset near the Glasshouse Mountains township. Monica did not use any filter and the photo is not enhanced...this is just a glorious example of the skies we sometimes see, usually around winter, in this area.
