Cape Tribulation is part of the world heritage listed tropical rainforest and ocean region, north of the daintree river. Far enough north of real civilisation to have escaped major development, it is famous for being one of the few places where the rainforest grows right to the water's edge. It is also home to rare and exotic wildlife, both in the ocean and the forest. Salt water crocodiles are often found on the local beaches and creek banks. This glorious sunrise photograph captures the sense of isolation of being alone in such a wild location.
