Australians love their beaches, and a late afternoon stroll is a daily ritual for many. This candid photo was taken in late summer, with the sun going down through a heavy salt mist creating a warm glow across the entire scene. This is one of my very favourite photos, and was entirely unplanned. In fact, I was trying to get a good shot of a lighthouse in the other direction (no luck) and almost missed the glorious scene unfolding behind me. The touching image of a family enjoying a moment in nature even captures a little child splashing into the water!
