Port Campbell National Park, on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, is home to some of the most breathtaking ocean scenery in the world. No formation is more recognized than The Apostles, one of the natural icons of Australia. Called by many the Twelve Apostles, there are not actually twelve pillars, but the name has caught on nonetheless. In 2004 the foremost pillar in this picture collapsed, forever altering the profile of this great landmark. It is only through photos like this that the scene most of us have grown up with will be remembered.
