This relic of our pioneering past sits derelict just a short walk across the sand dunes from the remains of an old telegraph station. The building is usually half-buried under the sand, exposed occasionally depending on the direction of the wind. This atmospheric image captures something of the feel of isolation that must have been the lot of the inhabitants.
