Numbats (Endangered Species)

Numbats are marsupials which live in ever shrinking numbers in small pockets of outback Australia. Loss of habitat, and predation by foxes, wild dogs and feral cats have seen their population sink to dangerously low numbers. National parks workers in several states are actively trying to protect the numbat and embarking on breeding programs to try to keep them going. We donated money to fundraising efforts at a wildlife park in Alice Springs and in return were given access to take the shots you see on this website.
