These characters of the Australian bush are one of the most adaptable animals in the country. Their population covers a wide range from rainforest to coast, and they are just as comfortable living in the city as in the wild. Many a Queenslander has been woken by the heavy footsteps of a possum running across their roof in the middle of the night! In an age when encounters with wildlife are increasingly rare, it is refreshing to see such wonderful creatures flourishing.
