Surprising, unexpected...and completely natural! Cape Hillsborough, just north of Mackay in North Queensland, is one of several places in Australia where kangaroos regularly come down to the beach. Unfortunately due to human interference with the wildlife, some of the kangaroos have had to be relocated to another national park, so this sight is no longer so common. The question is often asked: why would a kangaroo want to go to the beach. My answer: who cares, as long as they pose for the camera!
