Photographed over about 15 minutes, using only the natural light of the full moon, this remarkable picture captures the movement of the stars across the night sky. The reason for the success of this photo is simple: no pollution. Hundreds of kilometres from the nearest large city, this is as clear as a night sky can get, and the unfiltered moonlight shines bright on the subject. This photo truly captures the passage of time in a timeless landscape.
